Hey im a 3rd yr electicl engg student..i ws thinkin 4 quite sumtime whether i should sit for da UPSC exms..I mean do they appeal??how interesting is the job??is it not monotonous..how gud is ur future??pls comment..

Dear Rahul,

As you are aware UPSC is all about Government Service. In fact if you can target the top positions(IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS etc;) and achieve them I am sure it will definitely be appealing. I think there is nothing called monotonous in it. In fact most of the other jobs in the private sector and public sector are monotonous. But this is an exception. Lot of IAS officers do not serve only in one department. Instead they deal with departments ranging from Public Administration to National Security, Election Commission to World Bank. Many good IAS officers work in Private Sector for Top-Notch International firms ranging from from Software Companies to Financial Companies
