This is regarding Maximum Retail Price…. Nowadays the Govt. is campaigning about the definition of MRP by highlighting the right of the public to go for a negotiation on the MRP. I am sure that before this advt. campaign, almost all the public are unware of the right to negotiate on the product price… but what we can see in from the market that MRP has become a barrier and hardly anyone would like to bargain/negotiate for the price… it has made such an indepth image on public’s mind… it is now strongly felt that the Govt. should have acted before 15 yrs. Around that time the rule of fixing MRP is introduced ( sorry, I don’t remember the exact time). Can now a situation possible wherein the consumer can bargain and get reduced their rates of intended products/services ? expecting views of my colleagues….thanks…

    Dear SVRAJAN,

What you said is absolutely true. Our Govt should have taken this initiative way back but unfortunately that is not the case. Let us thank them for reacting at least now. Better late than never.

I am sure it will not be possible for us to bargain and get the reduced price. Even if Gov permits the simple act that these multinational companies will do is that they will print the MRP much higher than what they are supposed to and this way they will manage to get what they are looking for.
